How to go about it…

Gather together on your table:

A water pot,

A palette,

Brushes. Stiff brushes are best for mixing powder colour.

Tubs of powder colour.

Dip your brush into the water.

Dip your wet brush into the powder colour.

Carry the loaded brush of paint to your palette and mix.

Repeat until you have plenty of creamy paint.

Mix several hues of one colour.

Start by making several wells of the lightest you need and then darken with just a little dab of the deeper colour.

Don’t try to make a very dark colour light by adding a ton of white or yellow.
