From your investigative studies of natural, man-made, ancient and modern armour, develop work using differing media to reflect the theme. You may produce drawings, some painting and/or work in three dimensions.

It will be important to look at examples of armour from different times and cultures and to look at the work of artists who have used armoured types of images in their work. You might look at the work of the Cubists or the work of artists such as Germaine Richier, Rebecca Horn, Hubert Dalwood, Graham Sutherland, Georgio De Chirico, Max Ernst and Jacob Epstein. Make drawings, sketches and notes from their work, from the examples of armour you have found in nature and in man-made armour. Write about your own work as you develop it, perhaps as a diary or as sketchbook notes.
